Savoring Grill Season

Grilling might have to be my favorite way to cook food. Although I was not the one manning the grill for this meal, my most frequent cooking partner, Andy, did a fine job. He recently received a large order of meats from Omaha Steaks as a gift, which has hugely ameliorated our desire for good food while on the college budget. Having the main course already bought (in this case, flank steak) we can easily throw together a complete meal by just thinking of the sides. We stopped at Martin’s on the way home and spent only around $12 on different vegetables. We doused the steak in seasonings and the vegetables in olive oil, fired up the grill, and had this beautiful meal ready within 20 minutes. Coupled with a side of quinoa (a favorite of mine, as you’ve probably guessed) and some garlic bread, we loved this simple yet somewhat random assortment of food.
