Pearl Raw Bar

Though you can’t see too much of the actual dish in this photo, this was a delicious bowl of Pan roasted PEI mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with roasted tomatoes and applewood smoked bacon (with grilled bread & crispy fries too..). You can also see some blackened tuna sliders in the back! We also started with jalapeño corn hushpuppies that came with honey lime butter, which I’m sure you can imagine is right up my alley.

Pearl Raw Bar is a relatively new restaurant in Richmond, and has always been a ton of fun each time I’ve gone. The atmosphere is great, and when the weather is nice they open up the back portion of the restaurant that doubles as a garage so that it’s completely open to the sidewalk. The bar is always bustling and it’s a great spot to go with groups. Brunch is always good as well, and the menu is fun!

I haven’t been here enough times to really have a good judge on the food overall. Everything I’ve eaten has been tasty, but the first time I went I got sliders (burger & pork ones), which I didn’t think were anything special. So don’t be an idiot like me and not order seafood at a seafood restaurant…
