I’d bet that most college students across America have complaints about their campus dining hall. University of Richmond students are no exception. However, we actually do have a pretty incredible selection of food on a daily basis across campus, and even in the dining hall itself (fondly nicknamed “D-Hall”). D-Hall is what you make of it. It’s not hard to get creative in here with all of the different options at hand.
Breakfast is my favorite time to go to D-Hall. The photo above features a whole wheat English muffin egg white sandwich with American cheese, spinach, potatoes, bacon, and Sriracha. Although these ingredients come from many different stations throughout the dining hall, it is not at all difficult to create! Simply toast an English muffin at the bread station, add a scoop of whatever potatoes are being served that day, a slice or two of bacon, egg whites from the egg line (no cheese), a slice of cheese from the station to the right of the egg line, and a handful of spinach from the omelette station, and pile high. And of course douse with Sriracha. You’ll probably need a knife and fork for this mountain.
